What a wonderful cookbook, photobook and decorative element for any kitchen!!

I have tried many recipes in this cookbook and my family keeps saying, "mom, what are we going to try next?" They really are simple and easy to do. I also love the photos and words the author has to share. She takes you into her world and why she set out to create such a wonderful work of art. If you didn't know this, she created everything by herself. No stock photos, words or recipes. They are all authentic. It's a must read and buy!! I recommend it as a wonderful gift too. Hate cooking? Scared of cooking? This one is for you!

I am not a fan of cooking...let me say that right from the start. I usually find cookbooks overwhelming..all those ingredients I have never heard of, so intimidating! I don't have the tools...this isn't going to work! Just go out to eat! Recently a move to an expensive area has forced me to cut the food budget and do more cooking...enter this cookbook. I'll be honest...I bought it because I love the author. It's a pretty book, looks good on top of my frig.
Not so fast!! I have successfully made the cinnamon muffins (to die for), the banana-choc chip bread (so good I ate the whole loaf), the hard-boiled eggs (yes, I had never had success with those before), and the crockpot chicken. I used it to make buffalo chicken sandwiches AND chicken tacos...my kids loved it. I also ate the chicken straight from the crockpot on crackers for lunch. Delicious and great for a busy mom with no real time or interest in cooking!
I don't have a stand mixer, I don't have freshly ground nutmeg, I did buy Kosher salt...at TARGET! It was easy to find and I use it in other things, it was a couple bucks. If I can use this cookbook, you can use this cookbook. Fool proof! I've also halved some of the recipes to keep myself from eating two dozen of those cinnamon muffins...worked like a charm. I'm excited to try more of the recipes. Buy it now!
