About the Author
Gérard Saint-Cyr was born in Quebec City and began his career in flavors and fragrances in Montreal and Toronto. Since his late teens, he has been intrigued with wine. He harvested grapes in Switzerland and visited vineyards where he tasted wines in numerous other European countries, Asia, Canada, Australia and the United States. After several years abroad he moved to the United States where he studied and taught wine theory and worked for a time as an independent wine broker. He holds four wine certificates from the United States and Switzerland. He continues to attend wine tastings and constantly reads about God’s Nectar. He lives in New Jersey and occasionally sips a glass or two of fine wine while enjoying a glorious beach sunset.

A Must Have Wine Reference

A well written and informative wine guide for any level wine drinker, from the beginner to a wine professional. I very much enjoyed the illustrations and well presented information on such a wide scale level of wines. I highly recommend Mr. Saint-Cyr's excellent publication for anyone who is interested in learning about (or learning more about) all things wine.

This is a great book for all levels of wine enthusiasts. It is well written and easy to follow and enjoy. I found the glossary and wine pairings particularly helpful. The photos and quotes were an added bonus. Cheers.

What a great book! Gerard M Saint - Cyr paints a beautiful picture with words. I learned a lot and have more appreciation for the "simple " glass of delicious wine
