Renee Sanders is a mom of three and a passionate foodie. Though becoming a MasterChef was her childhood dream, her corporate job at one of the world’s largest tech companies gave her very little time to pursue her passion. However, she was forced to look into her eating habits when she got diagnosed with hypertension at the age of 32. That’s when she decided to take stock of her diet and adopt a healthy lifestyle. She started intensively researching the various types of diets, their nutritional values and cooking methods. Due to her commitment, she brought down her blood pressure to the normal range within 3 months! Renee now works from home and cooks everyday for her family. The appreciation she got from her kids and the benefits of eating nutritious home-cooked food has motivated Renee to start sharing her tried and tested recipes with the world through her cookbooks.

A Dash through vegetarian diet possibilities

I want to be very clear at the beginning of this review. I am not sure whether or not I will be able to be a full-time vegetarian as it will be extremely hard to give up bacon. But I've been reading a lot lately that a vegetarian diet, at least one that has a proper balance of nutrients can be very beneficial for lowering high blood pressure and lowering the risk of diabetes, Cancer, heart disease and many other health complications, as well as aiding in weight loss and increasing energy levels. So I was very interested in finding some basic beginner level recipes and information about how to begin. Or at least incorporated elements of vegetarian cuisine into my diet, and this book was a big help the recipes are very simple and straightforward, and will delicious, although I must admit I have not as of yet tried a full vegetarian. Seven day meal plan, but I have added a few salads and other vegetable based dishes to my existing diet. And so far it has worked out wonderfully; even though I am not vegetarian, full-time right now I can honestly say that it would be to become vegetarian, as they're also worth of interesting ways to add intriguing and unique flavors to a wide variety of dishes, which had never occurred to me before reading this book. And I also really appreciate the meal plan that is included in this book to get you started on the right foot with a vegetarian and low sodium diet. Only time will tell if I am able to become a full-time vegetarian. But this book was definitely a good place to start and I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Nutricious and delicious recipes, ideal for vegetarians and so healthy! What's not to love!

As a vegetarian, I sometimes get a little frustrated as having used so many recipes over the years, I was looking for something new. Then I came across this splendid book. Quinoa, chickpeas and humous are all things that I often use but these recipes, all illustrated with photos of what they will look like then they are made, really took things to another level. I had not thought of making a porridge with rice and lentils yet this is such a wonderful idea, as protein is so important and the tasty recipes included made me feel confident that I can make a change for the better in my meal preparation.

I am someone who is reluctant to introduce new foods and the beauty of this book is in the fact that so many vegetarians will already have so many of these ingredients in their homes or at least on their normal shopping lists. However, the recipes themselves often have a twist to them which is so ultra tasty and nutritious. Having read the Kindle version, I am now thinking of buying the paperback copy of this book!

I can't find the included 7 Day Meal Plan. I had trouble accessing to the FREE Dash Hamper ( http://dietcookbooks.co/dashdiet/ ) Disappointed!

Update(May 4, 2015): If I remember aright, I somehow contacted via email. Eventually I got its reply that said it was the author's responsibility to take care of the connectable link. Shortly the author did notice my comment and emailed me with the downloadable link. Finally I could print the 7 Day menus and shopping list.
